Let me ask you something.
What does "We Win or It's Free", "No Win - No Pay" or "We Win
or Your Money Back" conjure up in your thoughts?
If you are like
most of the people we talk to, it's "If they don't win the case,
we don't have to pay them".............. Right?
"We Win or It's
Free" or "No Win - No Pay" or "We Win or Your Money Back", certainly
preys on everybody's never ending search for a "win-win" situation
doesn't it?! Just think of it.......if they don't win my case
I don't have to pay them. How can I lose?.......... Well that
is exactly what they want you to think. It is an advertising ploy
used to get you to set up an appointment with them and use their
services.
The fact of the
matter is, their advertising does not tell you what a "WIN" is,
or what's "FREE".
Remember the old
adage, "If it sounds too good to be true....It generally is"?
The question begs to be asked, "Would you work for nothing?".
Almost always, they don't either.
HERE'S HOW IT GENERALLY
WORKS. (It's as easy as 1,2,3)
1) First off, YOU STILL HAVE TO PAY THEIR FEE. They simply raise
their fee by the amount they figure your court imposed fine will
be at the end of the case.
2) If they don't
get you off the charge somehow or at least reduce it (depending
on your signed contract of what the "win" will be), they pay your
court imposed fine out of the fee you have paid them.
3) There it is. WE
WIN OR IT'S (the ticket fine is) FREE....NO WIN, NO PAY (The Fine).....WE
WIN OR YOUR MONEY (The Court Fine) BACK.
I should also tell
you that the court imposed fine is generally reduced (if you give
the court a half decent reason). This means they pay out the least
amount of refund, and take home the most money possible, even
if they lose.
Remember that "We
Win Or It's Free" or "No Win No Pay" or "We Win or Your Money
Back" is an advertising ploy, plain and simple. If these types
of companies (advertising the "guarantee") are not willing to
give your money back in full, if they do not win your case outright,
shop around. You may find a better "deal" somewhere else.
If they offer you a full money back guarantee over the phone,
get them to fax you the guarantee so you can have a look at
it. You will then be able to make sure that before you sign,
you don't have to be run over by a white elephant during a blinding
snow storm in July to collect.
If they are not
willing to give you your entire money back, do you consider their
advertising misleading? If you do, there are government agencies
that you should call, to stop this type of advertising.
Guarantees are easily
written and usually hard to collect on. They are written on a
case by case basis depending on what you are charged with, and
generally to protect the company. That is why they don't get into
specifics in their advertisements.
We at C.O.P.S. Professional Corporation
offer great representation at the lowest price possible. We
can generally say that when you add our fee to your final court
fine (the amount we can get your fine reduced to; if there is
any fine), the total is usually less than theirs anyway.
Call us toll free
at 1-888-666-COPS (2677) and we will tell you what we can do for
you. I think you will be pleasantly surprised. We can even
talk about this "guarantee" thing further.
